Get ready for a fantastical adventure as the Chandler Center for the Arts opens its doors to aspiring performers for auditions for the beloved musical *Shrek.* This guide dives into the audition process, including what candidates need to prepare and how they can stand out in this exciting opportunity.

**Audition Details:**
Showtune Productions is thrilled to announce auditions for its 2026 production of *Shrek*, which promises an ethnically diverse and fully staged experience complete with a live orchestra, stunning scenic projections, and vibrant choreography.

– **When:** Adult auditions will be held on **Saturday, July 19, 2025**, from **10 a.m. to 5 p.m.** Callbacks will take place on **Sunday, August 10, 2025**.
– **Where:** Chandler Center for the Arts
– **Requirements:**
– Auditionees must be **18 or older**.
– Prepare **16 bars** of a Broadway classic.
– Bring sheet music (in your key) and a professional headshot and resume.
– Performers will be compensated and must be available for rehearsals from **January 2-4, 2026**, and **February 28 – March 12, 2026**, with performances featuring on **March 13-15, 2026**.

**Pre-Audition Workshop:**
To help prepare potential auditionees, Chandler Center for the Arts is hosting a **free musical theatre audition workshop** for participants aged 15 and older on **Monday, July 14, from 6:00 PM to 9:30 PM**.

Led by industry veterans **Seth Reines** and **JR McAlexander**, this workshop provides an invaluable opportunity to sharpen your audition skills, including song selection, performance techniques, and professional etiquette. Attendees are encouraged to prepare **32 bars** from a Broadway classic or a song from *Shrek*, and accompaniment will be provided on-site.

Additionally, **free theatrical headshots** will be available, making this a perfect chance for actors to polish their resumes and presentation.
